Celebrating one of Michael Jordan’s many championship runs is nothing new for the Jumpman. Still, his 1993 exploits are particularly worthy. As usual, MJ was on another level this season. His Finals match up with Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns was yet another masterpiece, capped off by a series sealing three from teammate John Paxson.
The shoes had to fit the occasion and, from what we’ve seen thus far, they sure don’t disappoint. The 8 dropped originally as a funky design held together by straps and leather. Regardless, it was heralded for its superior quality. This celebratory 2016 retro maintains that by sharply executing the Gold accents. In particular, the mud guard is a piece of design wit, as it sports emblazoned fingerprints to mimic the Larry O’Brien trophy.
