Air Jordan 14 “Indiglo” – Detailed Images

Air Jordan 14 Indiglo

The Air Jordan 14 is returning this August. This time, Jordan Brand is bringing back the “Indiglo” iteration. The last time we saw the 14 was back in 2015, when its low version dropped in the “Laney” colorway. In fact, this is the first time we’ll see the Air Jordan 14 Indiglo’s since 1999.

Originally released in the 1998-1999 NBA season, the Air Jordan 14 was dropped in just eight color schemes. Because of that, hearing that one of the original colorways is coming back should excite Jordan heads everywhere.

Air Jordan 14 Indiglo Release Date

The Air Jordan 14 is a rare release from Jordan Brand. With this year’s release, the Jumpman has tried to stay close to the original’s quality. The most noticeable change has to be in the upper’s materials. The 1999 release sported a combination of tumbled leather and rich suede. The 2016 retro maintains the leather base, but opts for nubuck instead of suede.

Here, we get our best look yet at this year’s “Indiglo” pair. Take a look for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

As always we will have the release links posted and provide links via Twitter on release day.

Author’s Take

This is one of the prospective buys that I like to categorize under “sneaker snobs.” I know what you’re thinking, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. For me, a sneaker snob is someone who needs their footwear to be of the highest quality, with no real appreciation for a brand’s popularity. A sneaker snob, per my definition, doesn’t care about your exclusive Yeezy’s. They’re too busy beaming over their handmade Diadora N9000.

In that regard, I can definitely see the “Indiglo” Air Jordan 14’s doing well. Sure, the fact that it’s from the Jumpman helps. But, it also doesn’t hurt to have an upper made from such premium materials.
